2005, the year a cross-border affinity was forged after the South Asian tsunami
The world witnessed the devastation of Sri Lanka by the forces of nature brought about by a deadly tsunami at the end of the year 2004. However, amidst the aftermath of the disaster, hope gradually spread across this stricken land, fostering a special bond that has transcended borders and cultures for nearly 20 years. Note: All overseas missions have been organised under Tzu Chi Merit (Singapore) since 2016.
